“My hubsand gets giddy when he sees that I’m making these.”

These Quick Maple Bars are a simple and delicious treat that’s perfect for a quick breakfast or a sweet snack. They’re made with simple ingredients and require minimal effort, making them ideal for busy mornings or when you’re craving something sweet.

Ingredients:

For the Bars

Ingredient: Quantity

Refrigerated biscuit dough (1 can) 1 can

Vegetable oil For frying

For the Maple Glaze

Ingredient: Quantity

Powdered sugar 2 cups

Unsalted butter, melted 3 tablespoons

Pure maple syrup ¼ cup

Milk 2-3 tablespoons

Vanilla extract ½ teaspoon

Optional Add-Ins:

Maple extract | 1 teaspoon |

Chopped cooked bacon | ¼ cup |

Instructions:

Prepare the Dough:

Remove the biscuit dough from the can and separate the individual biscuits.

Gently shape each biscuit into a rectangular bar by stretching it out slightly. Set aside.

Heat the Oil:

In a large, deep skillet or pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

Test the oil by dropping a small piece of dough into the oil—if it sizzles and rises to the top, the oil is ready.

Fry the Bars:

Carefully place the shaped dough into the hot oil, frying 2-3 bars at a time.

Fry for about 1-2 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Use tongs to remove the fried bars from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.

Repeat with the remaining bars.

Make the Maple Glaze:

In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, melted butter, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Gradually add milk (1 tablespoon at a time) until the glaze reaches your desired consistency—it should be thick enough to coat the bars but thin enough to drizzle easily.

Glaze the Bars:

Dip the top of each fried bar into the maple glaze, allowing the excess to drip off.

Place the glazed bars on a cooling rack set over a baking sheet to catch any drips.

For a sweet-savory twist, sprinkle the glazed bars with chopped bacon if desired.

Serve and Enjoy:

Let the glaze set for a few minutes before serving.

Enjoy these Quick Maple Bars warm with a cup of coffee, tea, or milk.
